Great food and service. Pizza was very tasty. Staff very friendly. Chicago at it's best in FL. Don't think twice to eat here.
Whether you are looking for Sicilian style crust, thin crust, or traditional deep dish this family owned chain has it all. Tons of people watching the game having fun with friends on the TV, or families like myself needing dinner. Waitress came quickly to order and when we were about done knew to bring a box and packed up our leftovers for us. Sicilian crust smelled seasoned and was twisted. Even though my kids wanted Sicilian, they kept giving me back the crust, so if you are looking for less carbs I would try the thin crust (which I plan to try on my next trip). Pineapple on our cheese Pineapple pizza is your traditional canned Pineapple, would taste better with fresh Pineapple, but I understand restaurant needed convenience and speedy ingredients.
I learned something good visiting Joey D's for dinner, that cheese on an Italian Beef is a wonderful thing. I stopped in thinking I'd get an Italian Beef and a dog and ended up with a Cheesy Beef and a Grilled Maxwell Street Polish. I got my beef wet and sweet with cheddar cheese. What an outstanding sandwich. With a serrated knife in hand I proceeded to make that sandwich disappear. While that was plenty of food, I also finished off the Polish, just because I bought it. More than enough food for me. For purists, adding cheese to an Italian Beef may seem wrong, especially cheddar. Joey D's also offers Mozzarella, which may be a better choice for some. I say just get it the way you like and enjoy yourself. Same with pizza style, thick or thin, you be you. This loud, large, colorful restaurant with a huge Chicago theme was a hit with me. Service was fine, a delay in getting a drink refill the only negative. We appreciated the help getting us situated when we arrived. Printed on the bill, they add a 3% service fee if paying with a card. I don't know if that was disclosed anyplace else. I spotted it, and paid cash.

Absolutely delicious Chicago Style carry-out pizza and perfect French fries. Everything was cooked to order, fresh, hot and ready. Took only 15 minutes to prepare even on a busy holiday. Absolutely delicious flavors, not greasy, yummmmm!

While I really wanted to love it, the pizza unfortunately fell short of my expectations. However, I must admit, it's a solid option for Florida pizza standards. Despite my pizza disappointment, I'm willing to give Joey D's another shot and explore some of the other items on the menu during my future visits to Florida."

Dinner for 2 --Food 5/5 - Appetizer: Eggplant Rollatini Tasty - a mini eggplant Parmesan perfect appetizer for 2 - Main: Chicago style Mushroom/Pepperoni pizza Perfectly cooked - crisp garlicky crust; you can easily eat a slice by hand! - Ordered a medium, we each ate two slices and left full with half a pizza remaining. --Service 5/5 - Promptly seated outside (per request) - Had waters/drinks within 10 minutes of arrival - thank you Amber! - Waited no longer than 15 mins for food prep - Amber checked on us routinely --Ambiance 5/5 - Sports playing on tv outside - (2) heaters (they let us pull over an extra) - clean tables/chairs - 7PM and shared the outdoor patio with one other table - relaxing as if we were on vacation Never disappointed!
